8 Inter City Buses at Pasar Minggu Terminal Use Retread Tyre

South Jakarta Sub-dept. of Transportation held a checking for inter city buses at Pasar Minggu Terminal, Monday (6/27). As many as eight auto bus companies use retread tyre.
Those buses are ticketed and prohibited to operate before replacing the tyre
Previously, there were 15 buses checked for its worthiness as well as the bus facilities. Then eight buses were failed to pass the test for its tyre.
Those eight buses are GMS, Sinar Jaya, Purwowidodo, two Sumber Alam buses, Sumber Jaya, Hiba Utama, and Dewi Sri.
Road Worthiness Test Held in Pasar Minggu“Those buses are ticketed and prohibited to operate before replacing the tyre,” said Edi Sufa’at, Head Section of Monitoring and Handling for the agency.
According to him, the worthiness test is already based on Transportation Ministry and Head Dept. of Transportation instruction.
“The checking will be held everyday for the sake of passenger safety,” he added.
